Goals and objectives

Key objectives, tasks and functions:

Monitoring the compliance of legal entities and individuals with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on environmental protection, on plant life, on wildlife, on specially protected natural areas, and on the use and protection of mineral resources.
Providing state bodies, other organizations and citizens with information on the state and pollution of the environment, measures taken for its conservation and rehabilitation, organizing the promotion of environmental knowledge, participation in creating a system of environmental education, education and training, interaction with public organizations (associations).
Participation in the implementation of international cooperation, the study, synthesis and dissemination of the experience of foreign countries in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, the use and protection of mineral resources.
Organization of execution of decrees, decrees, directives and orders of the President of the Republic of Belarus, decision, orders, orders and decisions of the boards of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk City Executive Committee.
Participation in the implementation in accordance with the established procedure of checking compliance with the legislation on the plant world, the animal world, the subsoil, and especially protected natural territories.
Control over: the implementation of state programs for the protection of the environment in terms of the protection and use of flora, fauna, protection and compliance with the regime of specially protected natural territories; the implementation of environmental measures developed by enterprises for the preservation and maintenance of plant world objects, their accounting; use and protection of mineral resources.
Consideration in the prescribed manner of written and oral appeals of citizens and legal entities, government agencies on the protection and use of land, forests, flora and fauna.
